ChardonOwl is a delightfully well-rounded and smooth dry white wine made from Chardonel grapes. Our Chardonel is fermented in new medium toasted American oak barrels. The young wine is barrel aged sur lees for three months to add complexity plus a hint of oak flavor. Chardonel is then blended and aged in stainless steel for additional year to develop a mellow flavor after a malolactic fermentation softens the acidity and adds buttery notes. Pairs well with seafood, turkey, or ham dishes. |
