Owl's Leap is a wonderfully full-bodied dry red wine that expresses the spiciness of Chambourcin grapes. Reminiscent of a spicy Shiraz, Chambourcin has a black pepper aroma and flavors with anise and clove. There are also hints of plum, black cherry and in exceptional years a bright jammy fruitiness. Owl's Leap is a blend of the Shawnee Hills region's finest red grape varieties of Chambourcin (90%) and Norton (10%). Try with red sauce-based dishes or spicy, heavier foods. |
